          MISSION:

           The primary mission of Business Mathematics and Statistics (BMST) Department is to teach the students to think logically and critically. The mission of the Business Mathematics and Statistics (BMST) program is to provide high quality education in business Mathematics and statistics in order to prepare students for B.Com. studies and then to professional careers in mathematics or statistics related fields.

        VISION:

• Contribute to student’s personal development and overall education.

• Enable students to develop to the limit of their capacity, the Business Mathematics and Statistics (BMST) skills and understanding required for their present needs, and for the future demands of their next education and consequently employment.

• Develop an appreciation and enjoyment of Business Mathematics and Statistics (BMST) and awareness of its importance in society and in the development of technology.

• Encourage and enable students to develop a critical appreciation of the use of information and communication technology in Business Mathematics and Statistics (BMST)

• Continue to acquire mathematical and statistical knowledge and skills appropriate to professional activities and demonstrate highest standard of ethical issues in mathematics.

• Use appropriate mathematical and statistical concept and skills to solve problem in both familiar and unfamiliar situations including those in real life contexts.
