Library Rules

  • Keep silence and maintain discipline inside the library.
  • Switch of cell phone here.
  • Students are not allowed to sit inside the reading room except dealing with books.
  • Students are advised to keep their belongings at the property counter whenever they want to enter the stack area.
  • All the members of the staff and students of the college are eligible to be the member of the library. Books and other library materials are open for use and subscription only to the members of the library.
  • Loss of the library cards must be reported immediately to the librarian. Duplicate cards will be issued only on verification. A fine of Rs. 50/- will be levied for each card lost. The member will be held responsible for the lost cards originally issued to him/her.
  • The borrowers should examine the book issued to them and any damage or marking, if any, should be reported to the staff before leaving the counter.
  • Students have to pay the market value of a book in case they lost or damage a book.
  • Before the Form-Fill-Up of any examination, the library books along with library cards are to be submitted to the library.
  • No Form-Fill-Up is allowed without library clearance.
  • Newspapers are allowed to read-only on the paper stand. They are not allowed to bring to the reading tables.
  • A late fine of Rs. 1 per day will be imposed upon if books are not returned to the library on due time.
  • The main objective of a library is to provide reference help. Therefore the students are advised to collect their textbooks on their own. Library is one of the most valuable properties of a college. So, the students are requested to co-operate with the authority to maintain the library in proper order.
