A library is the heart of an institution. Located on the first floor of the college administrative building right next to the principal’s office, the Central Library of Chhaygaon College caters to the need of vast number of users that includes students, teachers, alumni and other staff members of the college. The collection of printed and electronic books and other reading materials such as Reports, Journals, References etc is rapidly increasing. Books are catalogued and classified as per 21st edition of DDC. The Library is partially automated using the SOUL 2.0 (Software for University Libraries) software developed by INFLIBNET Center, an autonomous body of UGC.

Five Laws of Library Science
  • Books are for use.
  • Every reader his / her book.
  • Every book its reader.
  • Save the time of the reader.
  • The library is a growing organism.
